Lowell Partnership
The Katherine P. Stoklosa School in Lowell, Massachusetts has offered to be our “Sister School.”
Lowell is home to the second largest community of expatriate Cambodians in the United States, so we are thrilled with this new 2016 partnership. The idea grew out of a trip to our school in July 2016 by 14 educators from Lowell. Read more about their trip here. Thank you, Lowell!
American Ambassador William Heidt announced our new partnership with the Stoklosa School in October 2016 while speaking with Lowell students about his work in Cambodia.
Stoklosa school 5th grade students created Cambodia-themed monoprints that they are making into greeting cards to fundraise for our Lowell Garden in Cambodia.
Stoklosa students donated their spare change and begin fundraising to build a garden at our Cambodian school in early 2017. The garden was planted in February and the students have received their first growth of morning glory plants. Click here to help sustain the garden.
The Stoklosa School students love the learning that they do in their own school garden, so are especially motivated to fund a garden for our Cambodian students.
Stay tuned for more information about this partnership!
