Grant Writing Mentorships

Every year Cambridge students are mentored in grant writing and all of them have submitted successful proposals that have been fully funded.

Through these grants we have received full funding for our annual expenses, as well as funding for school supplies and books.

Congratulations to the following student for their successful grant proposals in 2025:

Jenna Jiang, Harvard College, sophomore raised funds for 4 new computers, tech supplies, and library books.

Congratulations to the following student for their successful grant proposals in 2021: 

Kira Hartness, Cambridge Ridge & Latin High School, junior won a grant for $1650 to pay for cloth face masks made by local women and a new water well to supply the handwashing sinks.

Kristiana Le and Anna Grace, Suffolk University juniors wrote a grant for $1370 in order to upgrade the school wifi and purchase books for our library.

Congratulations to the following academic leader for his successful grant proposal in 2019: 

Dennis Harkins, Suffolk University Center for Community Engagement, Assistant Director, together with his students won a successful grant for $6580 to fund our Tech/English teacher’s salary, school supplies, internet and electricity.

Congratulations to the following students for their successful grant proposals in 2017:

Lilah Monahan, Salem Academy Charter School. senior, wrote a successful grant for $1,000 to purchase school supplies for the entire year for all students.

Samira Wolf, Falmouth Academy, junior, won a $1500 grant to fix the only bathroom at the adjacent elementary school and two classrooms at that school to accommodate the overflow of students from our middle school.

Congratulations to the following students for their successful grant proposals in 2016:

Doug Robbins, St. Paul’s School, wrote a successful grant for $4,000 to help fund the technology and English Literacy Program.

Congratulations to the following Cambridge students for their successful grant proposals in 2015: 

Megan Taing, Harvard College, senior, won a $3500 grant from the Vanderbilt Trust that will help fund the costs of our technology and English literacy program.

Sara Hauf, Cambridge Ridge & Latin High School, junior, was awarded a $1000 grant to buy books for our library in Cambodia.
