Courage is a struggling, an effort to face any obstacles that happen to all people in many parts of their lives.

I am a student who studies hard, but my family isn’t rich. When I was a 6th grade student, I didn’t have enough time to go to school because of the work I did to help my family, so I went to school in the morning only. Going to school in the afternoon or any of the extra-curricular courses outside of school, I was unable to do because I was busy running a tiny business to sell things to support my family’s living condition. Because of the power of courage I learned from encouragement given me by my parents and my teachers, I was able to bravely overcome all obstacles to studying on my own. Because of this courage they taught me I was able to succeed at school and progress to the 8th grade this year

I would like to express my gratefulness to thank my lovely parents and my teachers who I consider my secondly-loved parents. All of them have always persuaded me and encouraged me to find the audacious courage that would help me to overcome obstacles and bring success to any endeavors in my life. Consequently, the courage I have learned has lifted me from misery and shown me how to succeed in the face of obstacles.

Courage means fighting, using your ability and diligence to overcome any of obstacles that happen to all of us at home and at school. We must defeat these obstacles or they will be happening everywhere.

I am a student who has been attending The Cambridge Cambodia School in Kauk Rovieng village. When I was in 4th grade, I was not good at studying my school lessons because my parents are farmers and were struggling with poverty. At that time, my parents taught and disciplined me to try to study hard because knowledge is the only vehicle to bridge me to a brighter future.

When I was educated by the many good words and inspirations from my parents, I felt so much compassion for them. That compassion forced me to overcome any obstacles to success at school. With this courage from my parents, I have been studying English, Chinese, and other languages at school. I am absolutely thrilled with these good results that have come from what is learned from school and my family. My lovely parents are very delighted to see the good results that I have received from my great teachers and they feel great hope for my future.

I am proud of and grateful for my parents in teaching me this courage to defeat obstacles and improve my ability to study. I would like to offer my huge thanks to them who have always educated and supported me in finding courage in myself.
